Christian Nold is an artist, designer and academic who builds participatory technologies for collective representation. As an artists and designer he delivered large-scale interdisciplinary research projects such as the widely acclaimed Bio Mapping that has been staged with thousands of participants across sixteen different countries. As an academic he has written monographs and peer-reviewed publications about the impact of ubiquitous technologies. He recently finishing his PhD 'Device Studies of Participatory Sensing: Ontological Politics and Design Interventions' in the Extreme Citizen Science Group at UCL. He is a research associate in the geography department at UCL coordinating the DITOs EU H2020 project.
