I am an active member of the Land Justice Network. I became interested in land issues whilst doing anthropology research in Scotland. My thesis was about conflict over land use. One of the main causes of these conflicts is the fact that a few people own land and could make decisions about how it is used. I spent most of my working life as a teacher in a Sixth Form College- subjects included philosophy and anthropology. Since my retirement, I have thrown myself into a number of campaigns, all of which have something to do with land, such as housing and local community groups.
