Oscar Aldred specialises in landscape archaeology. He is a Visiting Fellow at the McCord Centre for Landscape, Newcastle University and has been associated with the University of Cambridge, Brown University, and the Institute of Anthropological and Spatial Studies at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He worked for the University of Newcastle, the Institute of Archaeology, Iceland, Somerset County Council, and several archaeological units in the UK. His passions are walking and maps. He is interested in mapwork, the movement of people through landscape, collaboration and creative practice.
